Terms and Conditions

Please note the following conditions before completing your booking form. Please note only cars and small vans are allowed entry with a trailer.

  • Any resident who brings recycling and waste from their home in a van or other vehicle that would normally be used for commercial purposes must provide two forms of identification, from this list - current/valid photo ID from a recognized agency (i.e. Passport, UK Photo Card Driving Licence, UK Government ID card or similar); and a recent utility bill (no more than 4 months old and please note that mobile phone bills are not acceptable) or your current council tax bill. Whatever is produced must show your current home address, the one where the waste you’re bringing comes from.

  • WLWA’s decision about what forms of ID are suitable is final and if you have any doubt about what may be accepted please call the site on 020 8965 5497 to check before travelling. If you cannot provide suitable ID you will either be asked to leave without depositing your waste or a charge will be made for the full load in accordance with the trade waste charge of £165 per tonne. If you have any questions about the use of vans or charging please call the site for advice before travelling.

  • If you arrive in a van please bring a hi-vis vest as you may be directed to use the transfer station.  The charge for a hi-vis vest is £5.

  • Under no circumstances will vehicles without a confirmed booked slot be permitted on site. There will be no negotiation on this. Those that wish to enter the site must nominate a vehicle that will be used for the drop off. The booking system will record the registration number.

  • Your vehicle registration number will be used as a reference for your allotted drop off window.

  • If you arrive before or after the allotted slot, you will not be permitted on site. This time will be cross checked with your vehicle registration number on arrival, In an attempt to allow more residents access to the site, booking slots will be limited to two per week for each vehicle registration, this is open to review and may change.

  • Vehicles will be granted a maximum of 15 minutes to deposit waste and recyclables at the site. This time will commence from when you have parked up inside the site. Our staff will not be able to help you with moving waste from your vehicle for reasons of social distancing.

  • All waste and recycling must be pre- sorted before arrival at the site. E.g. plasterboard, garden waste, cardboard, plastics, metals etc. – The site have the right to turn vehicles back if this has not been done subject to visual inspection.

  • All waste bundles must be a manageable size and weight to be carried by a single adult. No help with be provided by site staff to carry waste from vehicles. Only dispose of what you can lift!

  • 2 people maximum in each vehicle from the same household are allowed.

  • The waste contained in the vehicle must match the waste recorded on the booking form.

  • Normal rules are in place for chargeable waste materials, including DIY waste and for deposit for 3 or more mattresses Chargeable waste.

  • Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to leave the vehicle.

  • Pedestrians are not permitted onto the site.

  • Small vans include compact vans with the load space (space inside of the vehicle that is designated to carry a load) dimensions no bigger than 1.7 x 1.5 x 1.2 metres (Length x Width x Height). Some examples are Citroen Nemo, Peugeot Bipper, Fiat Fiorino, Ford Connect, Volkswagen Caddy, Vauxhall Combo, Renault Kangoo, Citroen Berlingo, and Peugeot Partner.

  • If you booked a slot for a small van and you arrive in a large van, you will not be permitted on site.
